According to Nikkei, the flight took place in Greensboro, North Carolina. Hiroki Oyama, a senior technical fellow at Honda Aircraft, stated that the successful test allowed the team to assess performance from various technical aspects. The primary goal is to leverage SAF not just as a fuel alternative, but as a means to enhance the overall fuel economy of the HondaJet series.
This breakthrough comes at a time when the global aviation industry is under immense pressure to decarbonize.
