Kim's public appearances have been on a steady incline since hitting a pandemic-era low of 55 in 2020. This year's total of 131 matches the previous high set in 2016. While military drills often dominated headlines in the past, this year's agenda saw a noticeable pivot toward civil ceremonies and infrastructure inspections.

Diplomatic Debut and Economic Push

September was a milestone month as Kim made his multilateral diplomatic debut at a military parade in Beijing. Throughout the year, he held five summits, engaging with high-profile leaders like Russia's Vladimir Putin and China's Xi Jinping. These moves suggest an effort to break out of isolation and solidify strategic alliances.
