According to reports from Yonhap News, a memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at 8 a.m. at Myeongdong Cathedral in downtown Seoul. Archbishop Chung Soon-taick will preside over the service for the late actor, who was a devoted Christian.

Top stars are lining up to honor their mentor. Actor Jung Woo-sung is expected to carry Ahn's portrait, while Lee Jung-jae will hold the Geumgwan Order of Cultural Merit, the nation's highest cultural honor awarded posthumously. Fellow actors like Sul Kyung-gu and Yoo Ji-tae will serve as pallbearers.
