Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss, who overcame his own addiction, is searching for homeless Nickelodeon actor Tylor Chase to offer him a spot in a treatment center.

Shaun Weiss, the former child star famous for playing goalie Greg Goldberg in 'The Mighty Ducks,' is mounting a real-world rescue mission for a fellow actor who has fallen on hard times.

After a troubling video of a homeless Tylor Chase, from the Nickelodeon sitcom 'Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide,' went viral last week, Weiss took to Instagram on Monday with a concrete offer of help. He announced he has already secured a place for Chase in a treatment facility.

"I have received many messages about [Tylor Chase]," Weiss said in the video. "We have a bed for him at a detox, and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment... All we need to do now is find him."

The video reportedly shows the 36-year-old Chase living on the streets of Riverside, California. Weiss, who has been public about his own difficult journey through addiction to sobriety, explained that a spot is waiting for Chase at the Eleven 11 Recovery center in San Clemente, CA — provided they can locate him and he accepts the help.

Weiss has asked his 46,000 followers for assistance, noting he isn't in the Los Angeles area himself. "If anyone can get a face-to-face with [Chase], please DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday."

The situation is complex. According to Entertainment Weekly, a GoFundMe campaign started by a fan was shut down at the request of Chase's mother. In a message, she reportedly explained, "Tyler needs medical attention, not money. But he refuses it... Money would not be a benefit to him."

Weiss celebrated two years of sobriety in 2022, becoming a powerful advocate for recovery. Chase's last credited role was in 2011, voicing a character in the video game 'L.A. Noire.'
