Timothée Chalamet Becomes First Person to Stand on Las Vegas Sphere for Wild Movie Stunt

Timothée Chalamet made history today, becoming the first person to ever appear on top of the Sphere in Las Vegas. The Oscar-nominated actor pulled off the daring stunt to promote his upcoming ping-pong film, *Marty Supreme*, transforming the massive arena into a giant, glowing ping-pong ball.

In a clip posted to social media this morning, Chalamet stands on the apex of the dome and shouts, "*Marty Supreme* is an American film that comes out on Christmas Day 2025!" As the camera dramatically pulls back, the Sphere's entire exosphere is revealed to be a massive ping-pong ball, displaying the words: "Marty Supreme. Dream big."

According to Entertainment Weekly, the one-of-a-kind activation was a joint effort between Chalamet, the film's distributor A24, and Sphere Studios. The event was executed in partnership with Cash App, which also released a *Marty Supreme* themed Cash App Card.

Directed by Josh Safdie, *Marty Supreme is a sports drama that follows the career of up-and-coming table tennis star Marty Mauser (Chalamet). The film, which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, and Shark Tank's* Kevin O’Leary, is set to hit theaters on December 25.

This is far from the first unusual stunt Chalamet has pulled for the movie. During a visit to The Tonight Show last week, he conducted his entire interview with Jimmy Fallon while flanked by silent men wearing black bodysuits and orange ping-pong ball masks.
