On January 14, 2026, the indie band Jannabi shared a long update on their official fan cafe. They revealed that Yoo Young Hyun, who left the band in May 2019, had been persistently seeking forgiveness through a mediator. Unlike many public figures who issue a single statement and disappear, Yoo reportedly tracked down the actual direct perpetrators from their school days to collect handwritten apology letters for the victim.

In a letter released alongside the band's statement, the victim admitted that these actions felt like a "sincere act of courage and accountability."
