Acting isn't always glitz and glamour—sometimes it involves unexpected dental encounters with your co-stars. Melora Hardin, beloved for her role in The Office, recently shared a wild story about getting bitten by a monkey while filming with Sarah Jessica Parker.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the incident occurred on the set of the 1990s legal procedural Equal Justice. Hardin was guest-starring in a Season 2 episode alongside Parker when a capuchin monkey decided to take a literal bite out of the scene.

Working with 'High-Strung' Animal Actors

Hardin noted that the monkey was the same breed as Marcel from Friends, an animal she also worked with later in her career. She described these capuchins as "high strung" and "highly anxious," making them unpredictable scene partners compared to human co-stars like Steve Carell or Tony Shalhoub.

Despite the 30-year-old scar, Hardin remains an animal lover. She joked that in today's litigious environment, an actress might sue, but back then, the show simply had to go on.
