The star of the show, the Legion Pro Rollable Concept, features a screen that expands horizontally. With a single keystroke, the 16-inch display grows to a 21.5-inch tactical mode and reaches a full 24-inch arena mode. Powered by dual motors, it offers the real estate of an ultrawide monitor without sacrificing mobility. It's expected to pack top-tier internals like RTX 5090 graphics.

For productivity, the ThinkPad Rollable XD offers a vertical take on the technology. Starting at 13.3 inches, the OLED screen slides upward to reach 16 inches. Interestingly, the rolled-up portion of the screen remains visible on the lid as a 'world-facing' display, showing widgets and notifications even when the laptop is closed.

Smart Hinges and Space Frame Internals

Beyond the concepts, Lenovo announced the ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist. This device uses a motorized hinge to track users during video calls and can transform into tablet mode via voice command. It's slated for a June 2026 release with a starting price of $1,649.

The flagship ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 also received a major internal overhaul called 'Space Frame.' This dual-sided motherboard design allows for better cooling in a thinner chassis. Crucially, Lenovo is making it easier for users to replace their own batteries—a significant step toward better repairability. These models will start at $1,999 in March.
