Kelly Ripa Jokes Husband Mark Consuelos 'Could Be the Killer' in 'Scream 7'

Mark Consuelos is keeping the identity of Ghostface a tightly guarded secret, even from his wife, Kelly Ripa. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly published Monday, Ripa, 55, revealed she's been trying to get spoilers for the upcoming *Scream 7* from her husband, but he won't spill anything.

"He's the killer!" Ripa jokingly speculated during the chat on the New York City set of their talk show, Live With Kelly & Mark. "He's told me nothing. I know nothing. He's very, very [secretive]. But, I always joke that he could be the killer."

According to Ripa, her husband of nearly 30 years "really honors the sanctity of NDAs." For his part, Consuelos, 54, admitted the role holds a special meaning for their family. "Our son, who's 28 now, this is quite possibly the most impressive job I've ever booked, for him," Consuelos said. "This is the coolest thing I've ever done."

While Consuelos has remained active in scripted roles, Ripa explained why she has largely stepped away from acting since her last major role in the 2003 sitcom Hope & Faith. "I really am devoted to this show and my podcast," she said. "Also, we have three adult kids, and I like to be present in their endeavors... When you're an actor, your schedule is not your own."

*Scream 7*, which sees the return of franchise icons Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, is scheduled to hit theaters on February 27.
