Life just imitated art in the most disturbing way for Kiefer Sutherland. The 59-year-old actor, world-renowned for his role as the unstoppable Jack Bauer in '24,' found himself in handcuffs this week after a late-night ride-share dispute turned into a criminal investigation.

The incident unfolded after Sutherland requested an Uber Black following a dinner with a friend. According to officials, the actor repeatedly asked the driver to stop and let him out, but the driver allegedly refused. The situation escalated quickly at around 12:15 a.m. near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Ave, leading to a 911 call from the driver.

Los Angeles Police Officer Kevin Terzes confirmed to NBC News that the suspect, identified as Sutherland, physically assaulted the driver and made criminal threats. While the driver didn't sustain any injuries, the severity of the threats led to Sutherland being booked on felony charges. He was assigned a $50,000 bail and was released approximately seven hours after his 4 a.m. booking on Monday.

This isn't the first time the son of acting legend Donald Sutherland has faced the law. In 2007, he served 48 days in jail for a DUI and probation violation. Later, in 2009, he was arrested for head-butting fashion designer Jack McCullough at a nightclub after a misunderstanding involving actress Brooke Shields.
