$29.7 million. That's the staggering amount K-pop label ADOR is seeking in a fresh legal offensive against former NewJeans member Danielle and ex-CEO Min Hee-jin. The move marks a dramatic escalation in the long-standing power struggle within the HYBE ecosystem.

According to legal sources on December 30, 2025, ADOR filed the suit for approximately 43.1 billion won at the Seoul Central District Court. The legal action targets Danielle, one of her family members, and Min Hee-jin. It comes just 24 hours after the label terminated its contract with Danielle, citing the impossibility of continued collaboration.

The label hasn't held back in its accusations. ADOR claims Min played a "key role" in triggering the contract dispute and intentionally delayed the group's return to the spotlight. This follow-up suit follows a string of court victories for ADOR, where judges repeatedly upheld the validity of the group's exclusive contracts.

A Divided Front for NewJeans

While Danielle faces a massive financial penalty, her bandmates are taking a different path. Hanni has chosen to remain with ADOR, stating she'll respect the court's rulings. Haerin and Hyein have also signaled their intent to return, while talks with Minji are ongoing to broaden "mutual understanding."
