Park Na Rae's 'I Live Alone' Fame Under Fire as Ex-Manager Alleges Unfair Labor, Denies Embezzlement

Comedian Park Na Rae's celebrated image as the generous host of 'Na Rae Bar' on the hit show *I Live Alone* is facing scrutiny after her former manager, Mr. A, claimed he was responsible for the cooking and cleaning behind the scenes. In an interview, Mr. A alleged unfair treatment and strongly refuted embezzlement charges filed against him by Park, escalating a dispute that pulls back the curtain on the star's on-screen persona.

According to a report from Hankook Ilbo on the 23rd, Mr. A addressed multiple allegations made by Park's side. The conflict had intensified after it was revealed Park filed additional complaints with Seoul's Yongsan Police Station against two former managers for embezzlement, on top of previous accusations of workplace harassment and verbal abuse.

Behind the Scenes of 'Na Rae Bar'

Mr. A claims that the popular segments showing Park entertaining guests with elaborate meals were largely propped up by the managers' labor. He stated that managers prepped ingredients and did the grocery shopping beforehand. When guests arrived at Park's home, managers would allegedly wait inside to serve drinks and, after the party, handle all cleanup, including separating recyclables and washing dishes.

He also asserted that the production team of *I Live Alone* was aware of the situation, as staff reportedly witnessed the managers cleaning up on-site. While acknowledging he received expensive gifts from Park—a luxury handbag and a watch over three years—he countered that managers were also expected to provide gifts like luxury shoes, coffee trucks, and Dom Pérignon champagne. "On my birthday this year, after Park’s schedule, I went to the hospital and then had to wash dishes at Park’s house," he lamented, adding he received no birthday present that day.

A Full Denial and a Demand for an Apology

Regarding the embezzlement accusations, Mr. A called them "all false accusations." He explained that for tax purposes, Park made payments to his business corporation, which has existed for over 10 years, rather than to him personally. He claims Park herself controlled all financial transfers from her agency, receiving an immediate text notification for every transaction. "I have told the investigators everything during questioning," he said.

Mr. A insists their goal isn't financial compensation but a sincere apology. "The idea that we’re doing this for money is entirely false," he stated. "We wanted to handle this through legal proceedings quietly... We only responded to protect ourselves when Park released statements or made false claims. That’s why there was never an amount specified in the settlement documents."
