Trump's 'TOTAL WINNER' Harriet Hageman Announces Wyoming Senate Bid

She won her last election by nearly 48 points, but she's also faced boos from her own constituents. WyomingGOP Rep. Harriet Hageman, a staunch ally of former President Donald Trump, announced on Tuesday that she's running for the Senate. Hageman hopes to succeed retiring Republican Sen. Cynthia Lummis in next year's election.

Trump's 'Complete and Total' Endorsement

Hageman is best known for ousting then-Rep. Liz Cheney, a vocal Trump critic, in the 2022 primary with the former president's backing. Trump renewed that support on Tuesday, giving Hageman his "complete and total" endorsement in a post on Truth Social. He called her "highly respected" and a "TOTAL WINNER!"

In her launch video, Hageman leaned into her ties with Trump, vowing to keep Wyoming a "leader in energy and food production." She said, "I worked with President Trump to pass $46 billion in additional funding for border security... to remove and deport those in the country illegally."

Landslide Numbers vs. Voter Pushback

The numbers suggest a clear path for Hageman in the deep-red state. According to exit polling, Trump won Wyoming by nearly 46 points in last year's presidential election, and Hageman herself was reelected to the House by a 48-point margin. However, her support isn't absolute. At a town hall earlier this year, she was booed by the crowd while discussing federal cuts and Social Security. The race opened up after Sen. Lummis announced her retirement last week, saying she felt like a "sprinter in a marathon."
