“You think you know what my life is?” Actor Will Arnett has a sharp message for anyone speculating about his relationship with his ex-wife, Amy Poehler. More than a decade after their 2012 separation, Arnett is setting the record straight, calling the persistent rumors about their split “made up.”

“Zero Idea”: Arnett on Public Speculation

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Arnett didn't hold back. "People think that they know," he stated. "Over the years, I've read so many opinions people have. It's f---ing hilarious to me how much s--- is just made up, and they have zero idea." The two comedians have famously refused to speak ill of each other since their split and remain close friends and co-parents, which Arnett says makes the rumors of conflict even more absurd.

A Partnership On and Off Screen

Arnett and Poehler married in 2003 and have two sons, Archie, 17, and Abel, 15. During their marriage, they appeared together in projects like the film Blades of Glory and guest-starred on each other's hit shows, Arrested Development and Parks and Recreation. Their collaboration continued even after their breakup; they appeared together during the Canadian COVID benefit Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble in 2020.

Their enduring bond was on full display this past April when Poehler made a surprise appearance on Arnett's podcast, Smartless. During the show, Arnett noted he's "really proud" of their co-parenting dynamic.
