Pratt's political shift isn't just for the ratings. It's rooted in the devastating Palisades fire that erupted on January 8, 2025. The blaze, which became the third-most destructive in state history, claimed 12 lives and destroyed over 6,000 structures, including the home Pratt shared with wife Heidi Montag.

Speaking at the 'They Let Us Burn' event on Wednesday, Pratt criticized Mayor Karen Bass for her response to the crisis. "We're going to expose the system," Pratt told the crowd, alleging that the city mismanaged water supplies during the fire's peak.
