A legal battle has reignited over a signature made in the final hours of a Hollywood star's life. Kurt Iswarienko, the ex-husband of the late Shannen Doherty, is challenging their divorce settlement 1.5 years after she passed away at age 53.

The conflict surfaced after Doherty's estate filed a petition in November alleging that Kurt Iswarienko failed to meet specific monetary obligations. Doherty signed the settlement on July 12, 2024—just one day before she lost her long battle with cancer. The couple had been married for 11 years before the relationship ended amidst allegations of betrayal.

Real Estate and Personal Belongings at Stake

According to court documents, the Shannen Doherty Family Trust claims Iswarienko hasn't listed her Dripping Springs, Texas home for sale as agreed. The estate also alleges he refuses to return Doherty’s personal belongings or provide an inventory of the photographs he took of the actress during their marriage.

The Jurisdiction Defense

On Wednesday, Iswarienko responded with a motion in Los Angeles Superior Court. He claims the court has no jurisdiction to enforce the settlement terms, arguing the matter was brought in the wrong venue. This adds another layer of complexity to a divorce that Doherty initiated in 2023 after discovering Iswarienko's two-year affair right before her brain surgery.
