According to reports from POLITICO, the implications are massive. The rule would disqualify Donald Trump, currently 79, and would have barred Joe Biden from serving his term. Beyond the Oval Office, the limit would impact 17 senators and 45 members of the House who have already passed the 75-year mark.

Instead of a difficult constitutional amendment, Emanuel suggested pushing for legislation. While the Constitution sets minimum age requirements, it's silent on maximums, leading to questions about whether such a law would survive a court challenge. Despite the hurdles, the idea remains popular; polls show roughly two-thirds of Americans support age limits for federal officials.
