According to reports from Daily Sports, Park Na Rae first met C approximately 3 to 4 years ago at a plastic surgery clinic in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. The encounter was reportedly arranged by the clinic after a staff member's recommendation. Park stated she believed C was a licensed medical professional because she presented herself as the clinic's representative.

"The clinic had signs for 'Representative OOO,' and everyone there called her 'Representative,'" Park explained. She noted that in many Korean clinics, different doctors perform consultations and procedures, leading her to believe C was simply the head doctor in charge of her treatment. C also gained Park's trust by claiming to be a fan.
