Saarinen’s process is a testament to extreme patience. He notes that over 90% of his time is spent searching and waiting, while less than 10% goes into the actual photography. On any given day, he might take between 100 to 1,000 photos, but only 1 to 3 shots make the final cut. This dedication allows him to capture red foxes, squirrels, and even grizzly bears in their most intimate and raw moments.

A Wilderness Just 10km from the Capital

Remarkably, these mystical images were captured less than 10 km from the center of Helsinki, Finland's largest city. Since beginning his journey in 2015 and choosing to focus fully on his career in 2019, Saarinen has used his art to highlight the fragile beauty of local ecosystems.
