To prevent the loss of his home, his manager, Liya-Joelle Jones, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help the actor get back on his feet. The fundraiser, which went live recently, has raised over $8,300 toward its $100,000 goal.

The legal battle intensified on December 29, 2025, when landlord Eric Goldie filed a formal complaint. Rourke began leasing the Los Angeles property in March 2025. While the initial rent was set at $5,200 per month, it eventually climbed to $7,000. Goldie is now seeking not just the back rent, but also attorney fees and the termination of the rental agreement.
