Born in 1968, Watson stepped into the spotlight in 1981 when she was cast as Kathy Gordon. The role was specifically tailored for her by legendary producer Norman Lear. At a time when disability was rarely represented authentically on television, Watson's presence in four episodes was a significant milestone for inclusivity.

While she took pride in the role, Watson didn't shy away from the challenges.
