Lenovo unveils the ThinkPad Rollable XD and Legion Pro Rollable at CES 2026, featuring displays that expand up to 2 feet wide with OLED technology.

What if your laptop could spawn a second monitor out of thin air? Lenovo just made it a reality. On January 6, 2026, at CES 2026, the tech giant unveiled two new concept PCs featuring expanding OLED displays. According to reports from Mashable, these devices—the business-ready ThinkPad Rollable XD and the gaming-focused Legion Pro Rollable—push the boundaries of mobile productivity.

Lenovo CES 2026 Rollable Laptops Specs and Features

The ThinkPad Rollable XD features a display that grows vertically from 13.3 inches to nearly 16 inches, increasing screen real estate by 50% in seconds. Its unique 180-degree wrap-around OLED panel creates a 'world-facing' display on the back of the lid. Protected by a transparent glass cover developed with Corning, users can even see the motors and fiber cables that power the rolling mechanism.

For gamers, the Legion Pro Rollable is a beast. It boasts a 240Hz OLED screen that expands sideways. In 'Arena Mode,' it reaches a massive 2 feet in width, effectively providing a built-in ultrawide monitor. Under the hood, it’s expected to pack an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. While early hands-on demos noted slight creasing and heat issues, the mechanism is rated for 25,000 roll cycles.
