Furthermore, the court ordered B to pay all litigation costs, effectively ending the dispute in Choi's favor.

While the first court initially held A responsible for the marital breakdown, ordering her to pay 30 million KRW in alimony, the appellate court overturned this. It stated that the relationship between Choi Jungwon and A couldn't be classified as infidelity. Instead, the court pointed to B's own coercive behavior as the primary reason for the divorce.

It's also worth noting that B faced criminal charges during this saga. He was convicted of instigating defamation for spreading false information and was fined 3 million KRW. Throughout the ordeal, Choi maintained that their meeting was a casual one between old acquaintances, a claim that has now been validated by the highest court in the land.
