According to Entertainment Weekly, Tommy (Thornton) and T.L. (Elliott) face a rocky road to reconciliation. The pair's history is fraught with tension, and as Thornton admits, "When you got two or three dozens of warts, it's a little more difficult to get rid of them."

The conflict intensifies at the start of Season 2 following the death of Tommy’s mother, Dorothy. Tommy's ex-wife Angela (Ali Larter) throws a curveball by moving T.L. into their already crowded home. It’s a shock that puts Tommy in a whirlwind of "Norris chaos," alongside his kids, his attorney, and his petroleum engineer.

From Tombstone to the Oil Fields

This isn't the first time these two icons have crossed paths. They previously shared the screen in the 1993 Western classic Tombstone and Taylor Sheridan's 1883. Elliott notes that T.L. has a significant arc this season, moving from a low point to a chance at healing. "It’s a chance to come around and heal a little bit," he says regarding his character's journey.
