According to Reuters, the incident occurred during the 'Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!' at Walt Disney World in Florida. On Tuesday, a massive prop boulder—famous for its role in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark—unexpectedly moved off its track.

Video footage from the scene shows the boulder bouncing off its intended path and bounding toward the spectators. Without a second thought, a staff member jumped in front of the object, taking the hit and being knocked to the ground. Witnesses reported that the man literally "saved our lives."

Recovery and Safety Protocol Review

Disney confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the cast member is currently "recovering." While the prop is made of rubber, its 180kg weight still poses a significant risk. Disney didn't explicitly blame the boulder but admitted a prop had moved off its track.

"Safety is at the heart of what we do," Disney stated, adding that the show's elements'll be modified until a full safety review is completed. The attraction remains one of the park's most popular, but this incident's raised questions about the maintenance of long-running stunt props.
