According to the 'misSPELLING' podcast, Corey Feldman recently shared a candid story from 2005 regarding the film Cursed. Feldman revealed that director Wes Craven personally approached him, praising his talent and promising a "brilliant" role that would finally give him the recognition he deserved.

However, the reality was anything but brilliant. Instead of a meatier part, Feldman found he was cast as a "humiliating" version of himself. The script included a scene where a character delivers a nasty line about having forgotten him. Although he rejected the job 4 times, the production eventually offered "so much money" that he couldn't refuse. Feldman admitted he took the role purely for the financial gain, despite feeling like he was being "punked" by the production.

Saved by the Cutting Room Floor

In a twist of fate, the production of Cursed was famously troubled. Due to extensive reshoots and edits, Feldman's cameo was entirely removed from the final cut. "I was very grateful for my part getting cut," Feldman told Tori Spelling, noting that he secured the payday without having to endure the public humiliation of the scene.
