Tommy Shelby's story isn't over yet. Four years after fans thought they’d said goodbye to Birmingham's most notorious gang, the Shelby family makes a fiery return in the first official trailer for Netflix's feature film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. The highly anticipated movie will have a limited theatrical run on March 6, 2026, before hitting the streaming service globally on March 20.

A World War II Reckoning

The follow-up to the beloved six-season BBC drama is set in 1940, thrusting Cillian Murphy'sTommy Shelby into the chaos of a new global conflict. According to the film's synopsis, Tommy is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of his family and the country at stake, he must confront his own demons and choose whether to embrace his legacy or burn it all to the ground.

New Blood and a New Dynasty

Alongside Murphy, the film sees the return of familiar faces including Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne and Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg. They are joined by a host of newcomers, such as Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Barry Keoghan. While his exact role is under wraps, the trailer shows Keoghan's character as the leader of a new generation of Peaky Blinders, hinting at a power shift.

The film also serves as a launchpad for a recently announced sequel series. That show, already greenlit for two seasons, will take place in 1953 and follow the next generation of Shelbys as they battle for control of Birmingham's post-war reconstruction.
