'Big Brother 27' Alum Mickey Lee in 'Critical Condition' After 'Series of Cardiac Arrests'

Mickey Lee, a memorable contestant from season 27 of 'Big Brother', has been hospitalized and is in critical condition following what her family describes as a "series of cardiac arrests." Her friends and family have launched a GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses from the "sudden health crisis."

A 'Long and Challenging' Road Ahead

In a statement on the fundraising page established Monday, organizer Kori Smith shared details of Lee's condition. "Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition," the page reads. "She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging."

The family is asking for support as they face "enormous emotional and financial strain from mounting hospital bills to ongoing care and recovery costs." The page's statement continued, "Mickey has touched so many lives through her courage, bold personality, and unforgettable presence on Big Brother. Let's show her the same love and support now when she needs it most." As of Tuesday, the GoFundMe has raised over $12,000 of its $22,000 goal.

Remembered by Her Castmates

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Lee described herself as an "event curator" in Atlanta during her run on Big Brother earlier this year. Lee made it to day 59 before her eviction, placing her around the middle of the pack.

Though she didn't reach the finale, she left a strong impression. Fellow houseguest Cliffton "Will" Williams told Entertainment Weekly that Lee was the one pre-jury contestant he wished he could have saved. "Mickey for sure. Mickey and I were close in the house, and she's a good friend," Williams said. "She was an amazing cook, and I miss that."
