According to The Verge, the new version retains the robust 10,000mAh internal battery from its predecessor but ditches the clunky short cable that was previously required to connect the console. The redesigned interior now allows for a direct connection, making the setup much cleaner and more integrated for handheld gaming.
Charging the case itself is also more convenient now. Belkin added an external USB-C port, so you won't have to dismantle the battery pack just to top it up.
