The pop superstar was overwhelmed with emotion after a touching tribute from legendary EGOT winner Barbra Streisand, who praised Grande's recent hosting stint on Saturday Night Live. Grande’s response was immediate and effusive: 'You made my day, my year, my life!'

The exchange began Tuesday, December 23, when Streisand shared a throwback photo with Grande on her Instagram. In the caption, she celebrated Grande's wide-ranging talents. 'Ariana is a young woman with an amazing talent,' Streisand wrote. 'She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more.' She went on to praise Grande's acting, dancing, and comedic skills, adding she was also 'sweet, kind and thoughtful.' The post ended with a sweet P.S.: 'you were wonderful on Saturday Night Live and looked so pretty.'

From Duets to On-Screen Ties

Grande quickly responded in the comments, writing, 'Barbra !!!!!!!! what !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...this means so much, coming from you.' According to Rolling Stone, the photo was taken in 2019 when Grande made a surprise appearance at Streisand's Chicago concert. The two performed Streisand and Donna Summer's 1979 duet, 'No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).'

Their connection extends to the big screen. Grande is set to star in the fourth Meet the Parents film, Focker In-Law. Streisand joined the franchise in 2004'sMeet the Fockers. It's unclear if Streisand will reprise her role in the new film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 25, 2026. This will be Grande's first major acting part since the two-part Wicked films.
