A Reunion Over Pizza and a Promise

In a video posted to his Instagram on Tuesday, Daniel Curtis Lee shared an update after meeting with Chase for pizza. Lee explained that a previous attempt by others to get Chase to a hospital had failed, so he decided to intervene directly. "He trusted an old friend," Lee said, revealing that he was able to secure a hotel room for Chase amid the busy holiday season.

Lee emphasized he wanted to provide at least "basic accommodations" for his friend. Before parting ways, the two shared a hug, with Lee telling Chase, "I believe in you, and all we have to do is stay with it." Chase responded, "Love you, dude. Thank you. I'm so happy to see you." Lee is now working to help Chase enter rehab and is exploring setting up a trust contingent on its completion.

A Chorus of Support from Former Stars

Lee isn't the only one stepping up. Shaun Weiss, the former child star of 'The Mighty Ducks' who has been open about his own recovery from addiction, offered Chase a bed at a detox and long-term treatment center. "We have a place for him to go," Weiss announced on his Instagram.

Devon Werkheiser, who played the titular Ned Bigby, also spoke out. In a conversation with TMZ, he described Chase as a "sensitive, sweet, and kind kid," adding, "It is heartbreaking to see him this way." Werkheiser, who hasn't seen Chase in almost 20 years, expressed hope that the public exposure could connect Chase with the resources needed to "get back on track."
