B1A4 and WM Entertainment Part Ways After 14 Years, Promise Continued Support

K-pop group B1A4 is leaving its longtime agency, WM Entertainment, after a remarkable 14-year partnership. The agency announced today, December 23rd, that the exclusive contract was terminated following in-depth discussions and a mutual agreement between both parties.

An Amicable End to a Long-Term Partnership

In an official statement reported by OSEN, WM Entertainment expressed its gratitude. "We sincerely thank the B1A4 members who have been with us based on trust for the past 14 years," the company said. The decision marks the end of an era for the group, which has been with the label since their debut in 2011.

A New Chapter with Unwavering Support

The agency made it clear that this is a supportive transition, not a contentious split. "Although the exclusive contract with our company is ending, given the deep bond we’ve shared for a long time, we will wholeheartedly support B1A4 to make even greater strides at their new home," the statement continued. WM Entertainment also committed to future collaborations to "create synergy" and will maintain a cooperative relationship with RBW Japan to bolster the group's overseas activities.

The Legacy of B1A4

B1A4B1A4 debuted as a five-member group in 2011, releasing a string of hit songs like "OK", "Lonely," and "A Lie." After members Jinyoung and Baro left the group, CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan continued activities as a trio.
